For any question about your data, write to contact@oceanbim.com.

This website is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS Amplify, delivered through the Amazon CloudFront network). When you open a page, AWS processes the data your browser sends with every request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. These data are needed to deliver the pages and to protect the site against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use them to identify you.

Images on this site are delivered by Cloudinary (cloudinary.com), a specialised image service. Your browser loads them from Cloudinary's servers, which therefore receive your IP address and browser details (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts are served from our own server; your browser does not connect to Google Fonts.

When you send an enquiry, we process the details you enter (name, company, email address, country, project type, project description) and any drawings you attach, to answer your enquiry and prepare an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • The form is processed by our own service on AWS in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) region.
  • Attached files are uploaded straight to private, encrypted Amazon S3 storage in the same region. They are not publicly accessible.
  • We are notified by email through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). The email contains your details and download links to your files that expire after 30 days. Our mailbox is hosted by Hostinger.
  • Form data and files in the storage are deleted automatically 365 days after your enquiry; uploads that were never completed are deleted after 2 days.

Our team works in Vietnam and opens your enquiry and drawings there. We use your drawings only to prepare the offer and, if you place an order, to carry out the work. We keep emails as long as the enquiry and any resulting contract require, and for statutory retention periods.

Transfers outside the EU: AWS processes these data on our behalf under its data processing addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Vietnam, where our team works, has no EU adequacy decision; the transfer is necessary for the pre-contractual steps you ask for (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).

The same applies to enquiries you send by email.

The enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) to check that it is sent by a person, not a bot. Turnstile is loaded only on pages with the form and processes your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. We use it to protect the form against spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

On your first visit, a banner asks whether we may use cookies to analyse how the site is used. We store your choice for 12 months in a cookie named ob_consent. This cookie is needed to respect your choice (§ 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Only if you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use the site: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and whether they send an enquiry. We do not use advertising or remarketing features.

Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time.

We use Google Consent Mode: until you accept, or if you reject, Google Analytics sets no cookies and only sends cookieless signals (for example that a page was loaded), without identifiers. Google Analytics cookies are kept for up to 2 years.

Our blog (blog.oceanbim.com), formworkforconcrete.com and our LinkedIn, Xing and YouTube profiles are separate websites. No data is sent to them until you follow a link.

You have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR) or its processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To use these rights, write to contact@oceanbim.com. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.

You can use this website without giving us any personal data. To answer an enquiry we need your name, email address and a project description. We do not make automated decisions about you.

We update this policy when our website or the law changes.
